Torsten Ohlenforst
I like to think outside the box and always enjoy learning new things. My broadly diversified competencies help me to have a good overview for the development of complex systems. What excites me about the project is the interdisciplinary collaboration with other scientists and that immediate benefits can be observed from our developments.
Torsten Ohlenforst completed his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich and joined Fraunhofer IIS in 2018. For years, he has been involved in developing an approach that enables distributed inference on low-power devices. As an expert in this field, he takes over the technical leadership in the SyNaKI project.

- Joined the Fraunhofer IIS at the beginning of 2018
- From 2018 till 2021 he has been involved in software development and qualification process of the Fraunhofer On-Board Processer FOBP which will be part of the German Heinrich Hertz satellite mission
- Since 2020 he spent his efforts on developing an approach to enable distributed inference low power devices. Therefore, he joined the “Center for signal processing with artificial intelligence” (DSAI) as technical leadership for a subproject
- Due to his experience in the field of distributed AI, he also took over the technical leadership in the SyNaKI project from the start.
